Thank You Letter - Papworth Hospital 25-08-21
Em’s Day, Saturday 14th August 2021.
The 18th edition of Em’s Day was an outstanding success. We were very pleased with the turnout, which exceeded our original expectations.
As always, we would like to thank the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (LAHC) for granting us permission to hold the event and for incorporating Avro Lancaster taxi-runs/displays this year. After a very difficult period due to Covid-19 restrictions it was great to see things getting back to something like normal at LAHC East Kirkby.
The weather forecast indicated the slight possibility of showers for East Kirkby but although grey and cloudy at times it stayed dry.
Thank you to all who attended and put on a terrific display, especially the Buell riders with approx. 30 machines present. There were around 200 motorcycles at the event, including some very tasty pieces of Italian exotica. This year’s event celebrated the Moto Guzzi 100th Anniversary. We are not sure exactly how many Guzzis attended but we certainly had the largest ever number at an Em’s Day event.
We would like to thank Kev Meanwell for his help and support on the day. Also, thanks to Derek Weldon, Nick Pashley and Alan Keill for their help with publicity for the event.
And finally, thanks to the UK Buell Enthusiasts Group events team, Jane, Karen and Shabs.
Em’s Day 2021 raised a total of £1,758.38. Split £1,216.50 for LAHC and £541.88 for Emma’s Charity. See payment advice below.
