Event Report

We couldn’t attend the Buell meet at Jedburgh on

Sunday 12th July. At 12.30pm on Saturday 11th July,

Jane was hit by a myopic car driver while she was

waiting to enter a roundabout at the junction of the

A68/A689 in County Durham. Thankfully Jane was OK.

Her 2006 Breva 750 sustained minor damage but couldn’t

be ridden because of broken levers, damaged headlight

unit and squished pannier racks. The bike had to be

recovered back to home in West Yorkshire.

Because of the accident we had to rearrange our holiday in Northumberland and Scotland.

We set off again on Thursday 16th July. Jane used her 2014 Guzzi V7-750 for this trip.

Thanks to everyone who attended the meet at The Horn Milk Bar on Sunday 19th July. The weather and location were just perfect.

First image shows Laura and Neil with Jane. It was good to meet up with them again after all these years. They had ridden down from Aberdeen that morning. Neil's S1 Lightning proudly carries Erik Buell's autograph from Em's Day in May 2017.

Cliff (XB9S) had made the short journey from Dundee and Davie (XB9S) had ridden up from Edinburgh. Both appreciated the chance to meet up with fellow Buell enthusiasts.

We also met Phil who came along to talk about the possibility of buying a used Buell. Between us, I think we persuaded him that it was a good idea.
