2026 Breakfast Meets

Saturday 25th April - images 1 to 27.

Thanks to everyone who attended the first Breakfast Meet of the 2026 season. Perfect weather conditions ensured a good turnout. There was 18 Moto Guzzis, 2 Buells, 1 Ducati and 1 Indian.

It was good to meet up with people who we’d not seen since the end of September. There was the usual good selection of Guzzi models spanning many decades, including a brand new 1-day old red V7 Sport showing just 125 miles.

Jack, who also owns a 1125R, arrived on his 8,800-mile XB12Ss Lightning Long. (Images 5 & 6)

The white 20,000-mile XB12SX Lightning City X is owned by local East Yorkshire rider Matt, and this was his first visit to one of these meets. (Images 3 & 4)

The Ducati 900SS belongs to Andy who regularly attends these meets on his Moto Guzzi 1000SP. He’s owned this Ducati for 45 years and has recently put it back on the road after a 10-year lay-up. (Images 11 & 12)

On the way back home on Saturday afternoon near Holtby on the A166 south of Stamford Bridge we passed an orange framed Buell M2 Cyclone parked on the opposite side of the road which had an AA van in attendance. We’re not sure if the rider was making his/her way to Fridaythorpe but if you’re reading this, we hope it wasn’t anything major.

Thanks to everyone who attended the second Breakfast Meet of the 2026 season. We thought attendance might have been affected by the half term holiday period, but this meet attracted one of the highest turnouts with 27 Moto Guzzis, 1 Buell, 1 Benelli and 1 Indian.

Local rider Nigel arrived on his immaculate 17,000-mile 1200 Norge. He’s the second owner and was lucky to find such a well looked after machine. (Images 31 & 32)

The Buell XB12s is owned by John. He’s had it for 19 years and it’s covered just 5,300 miles. It’s one of the best examples of this model we’ve seen in a long while. John also owns a Triumph Tiger which he uses for touring duties. (Images 28 & 45)

Brian, who also owns a Buell 1125CR, brought his 1976 Benelli 750 six cylinder to the meet. This well used machine has covered approximately 95,000 miles in total. (Images 49 to 52)

The 12,000-mile 1978 Le Mans MK1 has been owned from new by Mick. Apart from a replacement tachometer, this rare, unmolested machine is completely standard. (Images 57 to 59)

Andy, who brought his Ducati 900SS to the last meet in April, arrived on his 1000SP which had recently clocked up 100,000 miles. (Image 55)
